MAP SERVICES

MAP offers the following confidential services:

• Calls to attorneys when other people have concerns about them.
  
  
• Referrals to professionals for substance abuse, mental health, gambling, stress and other area that affect your life.
  
  
• Voluntary participation.  Member will sign a contract generally for one year.  The contract depending on the issues at hand may include: random biological fluids testing, peer support monitor, counseling, in-patient or out-patient treatment, or AA or other self-help services.  There is a monthly fee of $50.00.  The assessment if provided by MAP is $350.00.  This service is completely confidential and will not be reported to lawyer regulation, unless there is a written consent allowing MAP to do so.
  
  
• Discipline referred participation.  Lawyer regulation refers Members to MAP through the discipline process (probation or diversion matters).  These generally have the same terms as the voluntary contracts.
  
  
• Seminars.  MAP will upon request schedule a time to discuss topics of interest.  Examples: stress, addiction and mental health.
